As a healthy and delicious alternative to syrup, smother your favorite pancakes with fresh berries. You can use strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries or any combination thereof.

If you can’t live without your favorite syrup, pour it on as well.

  1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  1 cup fresh blackberries
  1 cup fresh raspberries
  1 cup fresh blueberries
  Butter to taste
  Powdered sugar to taste
  Syrup to taste


Prepare your choice pancakes using your favorite recipe. For those who do not yet have a favorite recipe, you can simply follow the instructions on any box of pancake mix.

Mix berries in a bowl. Butter pancakes to taste. Spread mixed berries over pancakes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar to taste.

Optional: drizzle with your favorite syrup.

Fun Variations

Experiment by dropping berries into the batter right after you pour it on the griddle.
